Kool Suit

O.D.S. Marine is pleased to announce that we are the first commercial diving company in Canada to utilize a specially designed KOOL SUIT which reduces the diver's heat stress while working in high temperature contaminated waters. These conditions are often encountered at industrial and nuclear plants, chemical aeration ponds and outfalls.

By utilizing the KOOL SUIT we are able to perform underwater work in hostile environments previously not considered feasible. This equals big savings for the customer when the only other alternative is to shut down and/or drain the facility for investigation or repairs.

O.D.S. Marine has developed a special diving suit penetrator and adapted a Delta Temax umbilical cooling system which allows the diver to work comfortably in ambient water temperatures approaching 60 degrees Celsius.

This system is pneumatically powered and has a surface supply liquid cooling box, insulated umbilical tubes and cooling garments inside the diver's dry suit. Cold water is pumped down the umbilical through the suit penetrator and cooling garments, then is returned to the surface cooling box for recirculation.

We can adapt our system for use in a variety of hot, contaminated air space entry conditions.
